Job Description
As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), your main job responsibility is to see that each customer receives outstanding service in all of their dealings with Arrick's Propane. In all interactions with customers, you are to conduct yourself with the highest level of honesty and professionalism. As a frontline employee, it is the customer's interaction with you that will form their opinion of Arrick's Propane. Arrick’s Propane is a very seasonal business, which means that work during the warmer months may be slow, but the workload during the colder months may be more intense. It is important that you are committed to providing excellent customer service even during stressful workdays.
Compensation Structure: Hourly
Core Job Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Answers the telephone professionally and timely
Accurately takes propane delivery orders based on company policies
Examples – prepay, minimum delivery, etc
Accurately takes and processes customer payments
Becomes a “salesperson” to potential customers that are interested in Arrick’s
Guides and advises potential customers through the scheduling and installation
Schedules and organizes tank installations and service
Enters customer data into the computer system from drivers and installers
Monitors the collection process if assigned to you by your Branch Manager
Monitors the Budget customer accounts if assigned by your Branch Manager
Professionally and politely deals with the public
Looks for ways that your job can help the delivery drivers be more efficient
Keeps the office neat, clean, and looking professional
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Required
The skills, knowledge, and abilities required for this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, or diagram form such as safety rules, delivery tickets, work orders, procedure manuals, etc.
Ability to write legibly and fill out forms, work orders, receipts, etc.
Ability to do simple math with a calculator to calculate taxes, mileage, gallons, percentages, etc.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy office environment
Ability to perform basic computer skills necessary to operate Arrick’s back-office propane software
Ability to effectively communicate both face to face and also on the telephone in a polite and professional manner
Ability to type and use other basic office equipment
